I need to learn to fall better. My butt is sore from jukido last night, from landing on it. I was trying very hard not to tense up when I was thrown, but it's not always easy to let yourself fall when you're actually really getting thrown at speed. Still, I guess I have to learn sometime. The best thing about Jukido is that as a white belt I am allowed--expected!--to be a complete INCOMPETENT. It is so relaxing to be allowed to suck. Tonight, TBRE, The Jeff, and I attended a Jukido class at the local community center, which was far, far more awesome than I expected. (The first class was last week: TBRE and The Jeff attended, but I was probably on my second scotch in the Readercon pub by then. My body is totally a temple. In that it expects regular libations...)

I think I have finished the revision of "King Pole, Gallows Pole, Bottle Tree." I got a little more than 400 words out of the first twenty pages. And I think the rest of it was already pretty okay, so I just poked it a little.
